Drew Locher will review how lean can be applied to office and service environments. Learn how standard work, value stream management, flow, pull and visual management can all be applied to provide significant results in improved customer service and overall performance. 

Numerous examples will be provided throughout. A Q&A session at the end will allow participants to dive into any specific application questions.

Mr. Locher is the Managing Director for Change Management Associates (CMA). CMA provides lean enterprise consulting and organizational development services to industrial and service organizations representing a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, transportation, distribution, health care, education and financial services. Since forming CMA in 1990, Mr. Locher has helped develop creative solutions for companies to improve business performance. 

Mr. Locher has authored several books, including the upcoming Lean Office and Service Simplified, available in December 2010.  His 2004 book The Complete Lean Enterprise - Value Stream Mapping for Administrative and Office Processes, was the recipient of a 2005 Shingo Prize for Manufacturing Excellence.
