The next Quarterly Meeting will be held at the Historic Oakland in Columbia.
The Maryland World Class Consortia holds regular meetings each quarter for members, potential members, supporters, and guests. Each meeting is a half-day "mini-conference" that provide new developments among Consortia members, examples of World Class tools in action, and networking with active practitioners.
Speakers for this quarter's meeting:
Sherryl Jordan of Saft America will discuss Saft's journey to World Class performance. Saft is a leader in high technology batteries, and the company's Maryland facility has been striving toward process excellence for several years. Sherry will describe their recent activities and lessons learned.
Dan Harmeyer and Brian Asti of Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems will describe their company's approach to continuous improvement. Their discussion will touch upon not only the strategy and tools, but their lessons learned regarding people and culture. The takeaways they share will inform every company's lean journey.
Jeff Fuchs, Maryland World Class Consortia Director, will lead a brief discussion on the power of habits, which turns out to be a key factor in changing organizational culture and achieving lean transformation objectives.
