The Maryland World Class Consortia holds regular meetings each quarter for members, potential members, supporters, and guests. Each meeting is a half-day "mini-conference" that provide new developments among Consortia members, examples of World Class tools in action, and networking with active practitioners.
Speakers for this meeting:
Shawn Wolf of Wright Manufacturing will describe his company's lean journey, including details of recent expansion and partnership with John Deere. Wright's new Deere-branded product lines have been designed with lean in mind. See a shining example of American lean manufacturing!
Brian Sweeney will describe the newly-launched Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). Brian will highlight the services available through the state- and federally-supported MEP office, as well as the MD MEP's partnership with the Maryland World Class Consortia.
Joe Malone of MarquipWardUnited will provide insights into their latest lean efforts. MWU cultural transformation revolves around its L3 Program - The Living Legacy of Leadership. Joe will review the company's continuing lean journey emphasizing their strong focus on organizational culture, respect for people, and the important role of leaders.
